Sara Matthews is an experienced CPA and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) professional with 20+ years in finance, accounting, and business strategy. Proven ability to lead and collaborate cross-functionally with your IT department, business operations, and senior leadership to drive actionable insights, strategic planning, and performance improvements. Skilled in enterprise-level forecasting, variance analysis, financial modeling, and dashboard reporting. Adept at aligning technology spend with corporate strategy, supporting SaaS, infrastructure, and corporate and project-related budgeting. Kansas licensed Certified Public Accountant with advanced Excel and BI tool proficiency. 

Sara earned her Accounting degree from Wichita State University and originally obtained her CPA license in the state of Georgia where she still holds an active license. Prior to forming Sara B. Matthews, CPA, LLC, Sara's career began with a public accounting firm in Georgia specializing in audits, reviews, and tax preparation for small to medium sized companies and individuals. Over her career she has worked for a Fortune 50 company, an international organization, nonprofit, and led small businesses. This diverse experience allows me to provide practical, insightful, and strategic financial solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs. 

In her free time, she enjoys volunteering and traveling with her family.
